I believe in the thing called TRUST
Who do I trust to sell my house?
Trust is a serious word and is also a serious action. It is a must and a requisite in Business and most important, Love.
The fact of the matter is the inspiration for the title of this article comes from the Song:
I Believe In A Thing Called Love
and it goes…
“I believe in a thing called love
Just listen to the rhythm of my heart
There’s a chance we could make it now
We’ll be rocking ’til the sun goes down
I believe in a thing called love, hoo-ooh”
by the British band the Darkness “odd name for a song with Love in it, ugh?” hehe. Now, back to the topic of Trust. Why is trust so important when you make that first call to a company you are considering selling your home to? My professional advice is to really do your due diligence on understanding and knowing the company you are calling because with knowledge comes clarity, therefore Trust.
Remember, when you are calling a place of business ( THE company is indeed expecting YOUR business) if you have uncertainty and hesitation the entire conversation with the prospective enterprise will turn out into disappointment, bitterness and disTRUST, for both parties YOU and them . After the call the action is expected, and yes… it will require TRUST from the seller to move a step forward.
So it is important to build that familiarity with the business you are calling. Check their reviews, check their website, social media, even some of the members of the company. Make sure you do your research before taking the time to call, so you are only calling reputable companies. This way you are able to set an environment of confidence and certainty, giving you absolute control on service and will also project an intangible message to the representative on the other line that you are all about business!!
I understand completely that it is very hard to find a company that will help you achieve your current and personal goals regarding the sale of your house and even more if you are in a distressed situation, (I GET IT!) who are you going to trust?
I believe it is all about those 2 principles mentioned above. Get clarity on who you will be working with and that you are ready to move forward ( Because it requires 2 to tango). Make sure that your goals are aligned.
So if you are about to make a decision on selling your house, remember this:
“I believe in a thing called TRUST
Just listen to the rhythm of my heart
There’s a chance we could make it now
We’ll be rocking ’til the sun goes down
I believe in a thing called TRUST, hoo-ooh
